My name is Sarah Winterbottom and I am a mother of 7 pretty awesome children who has always tried to teach my children that to get what you want in life then you need to work hard for it. I have always tried to show them that others out there are doing it much harder than us and that if you have the ability then you should try to help out as much as you can.

I was lucky to grow up in a middle class family in the suburbs with everything on hand without being affected by droughts and famine. Not everyone else is.

This is why I decided to get involved with Aussie Helpers.

People out in the middle of this country are very much forgotten and they really are the true backbone of this country providing our meat and produce, yet whilst we take this for granted, they are struggling to survive themselves.

I was raised to be outspoken and that you can make a difference in the world if you put the effort in. My family is happy and honoured to be involved in this wonderful oganisation of volunteers who are getting behind these wonderful families and helping to make life just a bit easier for them.

Meet Sarah :)
